Frequently asked questions
Is this therapy?
No. Higher Ground is coaching: practical guidance, boundaries, scripts and planning. If therapy would help, I will tell you and help you find someone.
Do you work with fathers?
Yes. Higher Ground is for every parent: mothers, fathers, stepparents and co-parents.
Can my co-parent and I work with you together?
Sometimes, yes. A Co-Parent Session can help you build one plan for school and college decisions. It works best when both of you want it.
What ages are your clients’ kids?
Middle school and high school, on the way to college and beyond.
Is it virtual?
Yes. All sessions are online, so you can join from anywhere.
How is this different from Chapman Education?
Chapman Education guides students through admissions. Higher Ground supports you, the parent, through everything happening around it.
What if I am in an unsafe situation?
Please contact local emergency services, or the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233 in the US). Coaching is not the right support for a safety crisis, and your safety comes first.
How do I get my guide?
Delivered by email right after signup or purchase. Check spam or promotions. Still missing? Reply to your delivery email or write to christine@thehigherground.co. All sales are final.
Do members get the guides?
Members get 25% off every guide, collection and the Complete Library. Paid Substack subscribers get 15% off. One discount per order.
Do you offer refunds on guides?
Guides are digital downloads, so all sales are final. If a file won’t open or you were charged twice, write to christine@thehigherground.co and I’ll make it right.
